When Sheikh Kamal first saw Erin from across the ballroom he knew he must have her - and he always got what he wanted.

But Erin was unlike any other woman he had ever met. Even for an American she is exceptionally feisty, strong and stubbornly independent. A challenge to him. Yet he can't keep his eyes off her, her stunning beauty kept him captivated for the whole evening.

When Erin first saw Sheikh Kamal she had no idea he was royalty and leader of Jawhara, one of the largest (and wealthiest) countries in the Middle East. She just saw him as an irresistible handsome man - tall, with deep brown eyes and a muscular physique. Definitely her type.

He was perfect - apart from his personality.

He was so arrogant, controlling, and dominating. Everything she told herself she NEVER wanted in a man. Yet, she feels such a strong pulls towards him, even his scent is intoxicating..

They sneak away from the ball and go back to Erin's apartment where they share an intense night of love making. In the morning Kamal is called urgently back to his country.

As the weeks go by, and the gifts from Kamal pile up, Erin makes a shocking discovery. She is carrying the heir to a kingdom... When Kamal discovers this, he will do anything to bring her to his country and make her his bride. But Erin has other ideas..

I admit it, one of my guilty pleasures is a good Sheikh's storyline. This is one. While somewhat predictable, it is a good read. The character's both strong and in very different circumstances. They meet and and are drawn to each other. He is autocratic, as any good Sheikh. She is an independent woman who has made a place in this world helping others.

The unplanned pregnancy (relax they do take precautions, however fall into that 3%) changes things for her--he just has a very difficult time realizing she was not raised to bow down to any man. There will definitely be some adjustments.

Now to discuss the "cliff hanger". I do not consider this a cliffhanger at all. While there is a surprise for some characters at the end, we know the out come. I consider this a stand a lone in a series where other characters we have met will have their own stories. Did this make me want to read more in the series--absolutely. I am a new reader of Ms North's work but this will not be my only read. I will look for more, infact I have started a second book. Enjoy the book and the author's work.

I recommend this to anyone who enjoys a good Sheikh romance.

The Sheikh Pregnant Bride The Jawhara Sheikhs Series Book 1 edition by Leslie North Literature Fiction eBooks Reviews

This book was very good. I loved the idea that the author came up with and she executed it properly. I’m not a fan of men who believe they have the right to force women to do what they please, that women are property. I loved how Erin wouldn’t allow Kamal to push her around like he would have liked. Not so happy that all he had to do was kiss her neck and she’ll let him do whatever he wants. I wish the women in these stories would stop doing that. Have a backbone please. The book was too short for my liking, I usually like my books to be 300+ pages, but that’s just a personal preference. I also wish that the book didn’t go as fast as it did. The book wasn’t that fast, but a little faster than I prefer.

Overall, I did like this book. I wish the book was longer, wasn’t so fast paced, didn’t have a cliff hanger, and the main female character had a tougher backbone. If it wasn’t for these few little setbacks, this book would have gotten more stars. I still recommend this book to my viewers, it is a good story that you all will enjoy. I hope you all will go check out this book, give it a shot, and support the author.

Review By Angelina Daniel
"The Sheikh's Pregnant Bride" is the first book in the Jawhara Sheikhs series.

This book has a promising title if you are into babies and sheiks, which I am. I was hoping for a lot of drama and some passion. Sadly, there was none to be had.

I didn't feel any connection to the characters at all. There was no chemistry between Kam and Erin to speak of. There really wasn't much of a plot. The author told a story rather than drew me into it. I didn't feel as if I was "there".

I don't think I would feel this way if the book had been longer and more detail had been provided. Kam and Erin met at a party and talked for an hour and then went back to her place. Well, what did they talk about? How did they know they liked each other? Give me something that leads up to that first kiss and when it finally happens, make it count. Everything else will fall into place without a whole lot of effort.

How did Kam react when he found out Erin was pregnant? Was he excited about having an heir? Was he furious because she'd told him she protected herself when he didn't have a condom and she ended up pregnant anyway? How did he know she had no social diseases? It's not like he ran a background check on her while they were on the terrace. This guy is royalty for Heaven's sake. He isn't going to jump into bed and bump uglies with just anybody.

In my opinion, if this book had been longer and not so rushed to get it out on the market, it would have been an awesome story. It had all the makings of something great and then...nothing. Bummer.
You will only enjoy this book if you're a fan of multicultural books with Sheikhs. Otherwise you'll be disappointed with Kamal, the Sheikh's overbearing personality. You'll also think that Erin gave in too easily and is simply a gold digging doormat.

For those who enjoy these types of romances, this is a quick, really quick, read. Kamal apparently took over Erin's life and made all decisions with no input from her. He knew from one experience that she was a woman who would find a way to accomplish what she wanted. After all they love each other and would grow together. It's understood in these books and we were given a small glimpse in Erin's reaction to the refugee camp. For the rest, you have to use your imagination.

This is book one of three of "The Jawhara Sheikhs Series". It was too short with little backstory for the characters. It's evident that the characters will carry from book to book. Even though I enjoyed the quick read, I don't think I'll pay for a series that is very typical for its genre. There are books of this genre with fully developed characters and a nice plot which are longer and may be worth buying. This is not one. It's not bad for a short read for those who enjoy this genre.
